26 January, it’s a special day for us. It marks the completion of Khalti’s fifth year of operation and we look forward to our sixth-year journey of building a stronger relationship with all the users, partners & stakeholders. Our vision and mission have always been to provide financial inclusion to every individual. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our users, partners, merchants, agents, employees, and well-wishers for supporting us in this journey.
We are now a network of more than 3.2 Million users, 70,000+ Agents, 60,000+ Merchants, 50+ Banks, 1,000+ Hundred Cooperatives, and 250+ Employees. Meanwhile, Khalti has been recently honored with the WITSA Global Innovation & Tech Excellence Awards 2022 under the category of Digital Opportunity/Inclusion Award and ISO 27001:2013 certified company (Information Security Management System). With the joint effort of each one of us, we are able to process more than 3,00,000 Transactions on a daily basis.
Celebrating the Year
Celebrating the milestone, we at Khalti, came up with the tagline ‘K छ? Khalti छ’. The tagline is a relatable phrase that all Nepalese use in their day-to-day conversation that translates to ‘What’s up?’. However, it has alternative interpretations for the brand as the word ‘K’ stands for ‘Khalti’ and Cha as for ‘6th Year of Khalti’, likewise, it also means ‘I have Khalti’.
We will be launching a Khalti Membership that consists of ‘Khalti Club’ and ‘Khalti Pro’ on Feb 1, 2023. Moreover, there are anniversary offers provided by merchants partnered with Khalti. Additionally, we have also added an ‘Anniversary Special’ category in our Khalti Quiz where you can answer questions related to Khalti and our 6 years of journey and get to win more Coupons and Khalti Points.

This Feb 1, we will be launching a paid subscription of Khalti Membership – Khalti Club and Khalti Pro, there are going to be lots of exclusive deals to expect. Users can subscribe to the membership and get extra and exclusive benefits from the services of Khalti.

Looking back
The journey that began from 2017 till 2023 has been quite a roller coaster ride, but yes when we look back, it was an amazing one. We feel nostalgic, proud, and humble at the same time. From being new, as a startup, in the market to being available in more than 31 Lakhs + user’s phone, we have grown into a big family.
