The Business Development Manager will be the driving force behind Khalti’s expansion, overseeing the development and execution of strategic partnerships, identifying new market opportunities, and achieving ambitious revenue targets. You will be responsible for building a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring the department’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans aligned with Khalti’s overall strategic objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue potential partners, including merchants, businesses, organizations, and government entities.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and maximizing mutual benefits for Khalti.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, fostering ongoing collaboration, growth, and satisfaction.
  • Track and analyze sales performance data, identifying areas for improvement, optimizing strategies, and driving revenue growth.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, stay abreast of industry trends, and analyze competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to the business development team, ensuring alignment with goals, fostering a culture of high performance, and providing mentorship and coaching.
  • Set clear KPIs for the team, monitor individual performance, and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvement.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in business development, with a successful record of accomplishment of identifying, qualifying, and closing strategic partnerships in the FinTech or digital payments industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence key decision-makers, and present compelling proposals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify market trends, assess potential opportunities, and develop effective strategies.
  • Proficient in Gmail Suite and CRM software.
