You can take benefit of the send/request by following these simple steps:
To send funds:
- Signup and Login to Khalti from Khalti App or Web Dashboard using Khalti.com
- Tap on ‘Send/Request’ on the home screen of Khalti App
- Tap on send and Enter the mobile number for whom you’re sending funds
- Once you enter the details, you are required to confirm the details.
- Now select the transfer option then tap on send fund, your friend’s Khalti will be loaded instantly.
To request funds:
- Signup and Login to Khalti from Khalti App or Web Dashboard using Khalti.com
- Tap on ‘Send/Request’ on the home screen of Khalti App
- Tap on request and Enter the mobile number from whom you’re requesting
- Once you enter the details, you are required to confirm the details and then tap on request fund, your friend will get a request notification in their Khalti wallet.
( For confirmation, you will be receiving a message from Khalti in your mobile number. Go to Khalti App and refresh your balance)
Remember that both sender and recipient have to have a Khalti account. If the recipient’s details are not correct, your transaction will not be completed.
Will you be charged if you transfer funds using Khalti send/request?
Setting up a Khalti account plus sending and receiving money using send/request is free. The money will be deducted from your main balance. No extra charge is levied on transferring funds using the particular feature.
How long does it take for a fund to arrive in the Khalti wallet using Khalti send/request?
The fund will arrive instantly just after the sender has transferred the fund. In case the fund does not arrive instantly, please log out and log in again or refresh your Khalti app after 1 min.

What happens if I send funds to the wrong person or for the wrong amount?
Once you send money via Khalti, it’s gone, the fund transfer cannot be cancelled.
We recommend you to contact the recipient you transferred the fund and ask them to return it. If the recipient cannot be contacted who received the funds by mistake we suggest you immediately contact our Khalti support team.
