Five years ago, when I joined Khalti, I still remember my first meeting with Amit Agrawal dai. I was nervous but curious. He asked me why I chose to join the marketing team, and I told him I wanted to explore & was eager to learn. Who knew that moment was the start of an incredible journey filled with learning, experimenting, ideations, and a whole turn of personal growth. As a curious noob, I was ready to dive into the world of Brand & Marketing. The hunger was real, and Khalti became the perfect place to channel that energy and ambition.

From the start, my childlike curiosity pushed me to ask, “Why this? Why that?” I’m truly grateful to my teammates for patiently answering all my silly questions and always encouraging and supporting me. The team’s DNA has always been; Work hard and Party harder.  Each one of you have contributed to shaping the person I am today, in ways big and small. Let me take this moment to reflect a sense of gratitude toward my amazing mentors, who have played a part in my growth as each name carries a story and a lesson. Anmol di, Kriti di, Rownika di, Sirish dai, Alina di, Pramod dai, Avinash dai, Sagar dai, Pranish dai, Milan dai, and all my colleagues and friends who turned into a family, your guidance and encouragement have been invaluable.  

 

     

Through these 5 years, How’s the Josh?? 💯💯 From making calls, replying to comments to managing social media, planning content & designs, brainstorming ideas, last-minute campaigns, late nights to early morning shoots, after-office kausi jams,  it was a whole lot of experience & every role taught me the value of teamwork, resilience, and persistence.  From “The Biggest Payment Jatra” to “My Movie Mantra,” “Akash ma K Cha?” to “Don’t Be a Dino,” and from “Don’t Stop, Move Forward” to “K Cha? Khalti Cha!”  From the start of Khalti events to one of the biggest events Nepal Premier League (NPL) – each campaign was an opportunity to grow and create something extraordinary, while trying to make Khalti in each one’s Khalti.  Working at Khalti feels like a total roller coaster ride. I still remember how, just two days before the first edition of The Biggest Payment Jatra, the whole team was having dinner at a restaurant after a hectic TVC shoot for the campaign. The idea striked to name the campaign “Jatra”  for a fun twist to the campaign & we changed. 

These 1,825 days have passed by in the blink of an eye. From starting out as an outbound caller to stepping into the role of Assistant Brand Manager, the journey has been incredible. Balancing studies and work was tough, but falling in love with purple always drives me to go one step more & harddd. It feels great to look back and see how I’ve been able to be in a core part of Khalti, even during the tough times.

The best part? Nothing, just Gratitude 💜 Gratitude for the opportunities, the challenges, and the people who’ve made these five years so remarkable. And as I look ahead, I know this is just the beginning. Here’s to many more years of learning, growing, and creating magic at Khalti.
