For security of payments, Khalti has App Password and App Transaction Password. Both these passwords are the first 4 characters of your password. App Password is asked every time Khalti app resumes, whereas App Transaction Password is asked before every transaction.khanepani Third Party Transaction PIN is required for making payments outside Khalti, at merchant sites.

Users can make payments at merchant (third party) sites using Khalti. For security reasons, users are required to set up Third Party Transaction PIN and use it every time they make payments at merchant sites so that none else can make payments at third parties other than the users.

Third party sites are the merchants outside Khalti platform (app/website). Eg. QFX Cinemas. You can buy movie tickets from QFX Cinemas website and pay online via Khalti.

There are currently more than 200 third party merchants associated with Khalti. You can avail services from any of these merchants and pay digitally via Khalti.

Khalti doesn’t take service charge from users for any types of payments. Instead, Khalti rewards users every time they make digital payments via Khalti. Users can get up to 30% cashback on payments made via Khalti which they can use later to make payments. Khalti also rewards users with Khalti Points on transactions above Rs. 150 (Exception: Khanepani bill payments). After accumulating enough Khalti Points, users can redeem it to receive gift hampers from Khalti.
