Khalti is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with more than 3 (three) years of experience in related fields. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is proficient in the requirements listed below, which are currently implemented in Khalti’s infrastructure, and can contribute to future improvements in these technologies.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration in a production environment, including developing and implementing automated scaling and deployment strategies, self-healing mechanisms, and managing the full lifecycle of Kubernetes resources.
- Ability to develop custom Helm Charts for multiple microservices with fully templated resources, ensuring no manual configurations are applied directly in Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, including CNI plugins, ingress controllers, and service meshes.
- Understanding of Kubernetes security best practices, like RBAC, network, and pod security policies.
- Experience working on open-source projects.
- Proficient in at least one IaC tool, with a preference for Terraform.
- Proficient in at least one configuration management tool, with a preference for Ansible.
- Ability to develop unified internal developer platforms (IDP) for smooth developer operations is a plus.
- Understanding of SRE fundamentals and implementing SRE practices.
- Proficient in developing and implementing monitoring and logging solutions, with a preference for ELK and Prometheus/Grafana stack.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and XEN and storage virtualization.
- Hands-on in at least one programming language, with a preference for Python and GO.
- Ability to promptly respond to incidents, conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA), and effectively communicate findings and resolutions with the team.
- Understanding of microservice design and architectural patterns.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of network fundamentals and data center network protocols. 17. Experience in creating security pipelines and mitigating web vulnerabilities. 18. Maintaining multiple onsite data centers by managing network, server, storage and racks.
- CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), AWS DevOps and Linux certifications are advantageous.
Experience:
- Professional Experience: More than 3 years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
- Project Experience:
○ Having Worked in a company with a large customer base and high traffic workloads.
○ Experience in managing Kubernetes deployments and maintaining high-availability systems at scale.
○ Experience in managing hybrid infrastructure.
Soft Skills:
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
