Ticket Booking

  • Khalti is just a ticket seller. The travel service is not operated by Khalti. 
  • Khalti will be responsible for issuing a valid ticket and to provide refund and support in cases of cancellations.
  • In cases when the merchant’s transport is late or cancelled due to unavoidable reasons,  Khalti will not be responsible for this. Any refunds or claims due to non-functioning or un-availability of these services needs to be settled directly with the travel operator.
  • Our advice to the customers is to fill up their correct name, phone number, email ID and other details properly. This will be useful in cases while informing about the travel service being delayed or cancelled.
  • When an email or SMS is delayed or fails due to some technical problems or wrong Email ID or phone number provided by the user, the ticket will still be considered as booked.
  • Tickets will only be cancelled as per the cancellation policy mentioned in the ticket. The cancellation policy is determined by the service provider and not by Khalti. We have no role in determining the cancellation charges.
  • Cancellations will be done according to the actual fare of the tickets. However, in cases when the user uses any coupon code for ticket booking, the cancellation will be calculated according to the discounted value.
  • Passengers are required to take a copy of the ticket (a print out of the ticket or the print out of the ticket-email) and identity proof (Passport or Citizenship) at the time of boarding.

How do I get the refund money on canceling my tickets/orders?

If the payment was made via the Khalti account and you’ve booked the refundable ticket then on cancellation the amount will be transferred to your Khalti account.

I do not have sufficient balance to book tickets. Can I hold tickets?

Yes, you can hold tickets for 30 minutes without paying. You can later proceed to pay by going to the ‘My Bookings’ icon from the plus option in the bottom navigation menu.

Is there a charge/fee levied for booking tickets?

No, there is no kind of extra charge other than the fee charged by the movie theatre.

How will I know if my booking has been confirmed?

Your booking confirmation will be sent via notification and a ticket layout, where you can download your invoice and tickets. You can also check it from the transaction history. To enter the cinema, you need to download the tickets from the transaction history and scan the barcode at the entrance. You can also print the tickets for your convenience.

Status Shows Pending/Processing- When will I receive confirmation?

The transaction might go in the pending state when the confirmation is awaited from the Cinema. The transaction will automatically get canceled if not confirmed in the next 30 minutes. Please wait for the confirmation (success or failure) before moving to book another ticket.

Can I change my ticket dates, seat number, or show timing?

Sorry, ticket dates, seat number, or show timing cannot be changed after the booking is confirmed.

Can I swap/upgrade my ticket category?

Sorry, as per cinema policy, tickets once booked, cannot be replaced, canceled, or refunded.

Can I cancel tickets booked online and claim a refund?

In case a show has been canceled how can I get a refund?

If a movie is canceled by the Cinema, we will communicate the same to you via SMS and email. Refunds will be issued within 48 hours to your Khalti wallet.

Is it necessary to be a registered user for buying tickets?

Yes, you need to register on https://khalti.com  or khalti.com/app in order to purchase movie tickets.

Do I have to print the ticket?

It's not mandatory that you need to print the ticket. But if you don't have your phone or cannot scan the barcode due to any circumstances, we recommend you print the tickets at the box office.

What should I do if I haven’t received the booking confirmation?

You should get a confirmation notification or email within 15 minutes of the payment. If you didn't get the confirmation notification, please check your transaction history (where you can download the tickets)

How many tickets can I book in one transaction?

You can book any number of tickets. There is no limit.

Till when can I buy tickets online before the commencement of the show?

The cut-off time for booking may vary from cinema to cinema as it is governed by the cinema. Most cinemas close online booking 30 mins to 1 hour before the show start time.

What is the Khalti Event Ticketing Platform?

Khalti Event Ticketing Platform is an in-app event ticketing platform where you can browse and buy event tickets for the events happening around you.

What are the benefits of buying tickets from Khalti?

What type of events are featured in the app?

You can find tickets to concerts, seminars, corporate training, game shows, reality shows, trade fairs, parties, and plenty of events happening around.

What is the cancellation procedure of the tickets?

The event tickets once sold cannot be canceled and are non-refundable.

Where do I get my tickets?

You can find your tickets on the “My Tickets” section in the event platform which you can download and email it manually.

Why does my ticket say “ENTRY NO” while scanning it?

Each ticket contains a unique QR code which can be only scanned once. If your ticket says “ENTRY NO”, it means the ticket has already been scanned and is invalid.

Do all events have the same cashback?

No. The cashback can differ according to the events.

Do I get freebies that organizers have provided if I buy tickets via Khalti?

Yes. 

What happens if the event is canceled?

In case of event cancellation, you shall be notified personally via email or call and your fee shall be refunded in your Khalti account.
