Khalti Account Deactivation Request
We understand that you may want to deactivate your Khalti Account. If so, please fill the form provided below.
Important Information:
- This is not Account Deletion: Transactions and other information for the account shall be retained for minimum 10 years or as per the regulatory requirements from Nepal Rastra Bank “Section 6 Clause 18” then after that it will be deleted.
- Account Deactivation is not permanent: You may reactivate your account at any time by contacting our customer support. To learn more about account deactivation and reactivation, please refer to “6 – INACTIVE WALLET POLICY” of our Inactive and Dormant Wallet Treatment Policy
- Fund Withdrawal: Please ensure that you have withdrawn all funds from your Khalti Wallet before deactivating your account.
What happens next?
- After submitting the form, your request will be sent to our Legal & Compliance team for a review.
- Our support team will contact you on the provided Khalti ID number or alternate contact number for further verification process.
- You will need to submit another application to deactivate the account along with a selfie holding your official ID.
- You shall have to visit our Headquarter or our Nation-wide Hubs to fill and submit a physical form along with a copy of your verified government identification document.
- Once the process is complete, you will receive a notification email or call confirming the deactivation of your account.
Please Note:
- You will still be able to access your Khalti account until the deactivation process is complete.
- Once your account is deactivated, you will neither be able to access your account, nor can you create another account with the same number.
