An initiative to empower youths of Birgunj and drive change in the development of the city
Innovate Birgunj initiative is all set to organize an ‘Innovation Summit’ in Birgunj this February 24 to ignite new opportunities and innovation among youths in the city by bringing experts from the development, entrepreneurship, and technology world.
Focused on Development, Entrepreneurship, and Technology, the summit will be a consortium of leaders from diverse sectors of Nepal who will be presenting their stories and life lessons. The program will also be a forum for youth to voice their concern, share their ideas and learn from one another while discussing the challenges and opportunities from new technological shifts.
In the summit, successful personalities from different professions including Arvind Sah, Director of Janaki Technology and Khalti Digital Wallet, Aayushi KC, CEO and Founder of Khaalisisi, Kanchan Jha, CEO and Founder of Sano Paila, Salma Khatoon, Deputy Mayor of Pokhariya Municipality (Parsa district), Bikash Gurung, President of Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN), and Shyam Badan Yadav, CEO of Dairy Hub will be sharing their stories, opinions, findings, and experiences from which the young participants can learn a lot.
In a conversation with Khalti, Ravi Shankar Sah, Coordinator of the summit, informed that all the preparations are ongoing in full swing for the grand success of the event. “From this summit, we expect to provide an insight into various activities and innovations that are taking place in Kathmandu and apply similar activities in Birgunj,” he shared.
Mr. Vijay Sarawagi, Mayor of Birgunj Metropolis will be giving opening remarks in the summit.
The event is expected to be participated by more than 250 youths, including Bachelor’s level students, +2 students, and working professionals.
Earlier, the Digital Birgunj program was conducted with initiation from a group of active youths in the city. The program initiated to make Birgunj a smart city. Currently, every ward offices of the metropolis are on their way of getting connected online, making it possible to carry out all the works of metropolis digitally using the software provided by the government to local bodies.
